Legal
These Terms of Service govern your use of the CISO.POKER website (ciso.poker) and participation in CISO.POKER events. By using this site or submitting an application, you agree to these terms. CISO.POKER is operated by QSAI LLC, doing business as CyberAdX / CISO Marketplace ("we", "us", "our"), a Texas limited liability company.
CISO.POKER produces invite-only poker tournament events for security executives and cybersecurity professionals. Events are social and hospitality in nature.
CISO.POKER events are not gambling. No monetary buy-in, entry fee, or consideration of any kind is required to attend or compete. Participants do not wager their own money. All prizes are sponsor-donated promotional items distributed as part of a hospitality giveaway program. CISO.POKER events are structured as free-to-attend professional hospitality events and are intended to comply with applicable law and standard corporate attendance and gift policies.
If your employer requires pre-approval for event attendance or prize receipt, you are responsible for obtaining that approval. We are happy to provide a letter describing the event format for corporate compliance purposes — contact [email protected].
Attendance at any CISO.POKER event is a privilege, not a right. We reserve the right to decline, revoke, or modify any application or invitation at our sole discretion.
Submitting an application does not guarantee a seat. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis against eligibility criteria including title, company, and security program maturity. We reserve the right to decline any application without providing a reason.
Seat confirmations are issued separately from applications. An application acknowledgment is not a seat confirmation. Only an explicit written confirmation from CISO.POKER constitutes a confirmed seat.
By submitting an application, you represent that the information provided is accurate. Misrepresentation of your identity, title, or affiliation may result in removal from the event and disqualification from future events.
CISO.POKER events are not gambling and are structured as free-to-attend professional hospitality events. However, some venues — including casino properties, hotel gaming floors, and licensed hospitality facilities — are independently subject to state, local, or tribal gaming regulations. These regulations may require the venue to conduct their own compliance procedures at entry, including but not limited to:
CISO.POKER negotiates with each venue to minimize attendee friction and to avoid unnecessary data collection. We will always disclose any known venue entry requirements in your seat confirmation email prior to the event. However, we cannot override a venue's independent gaming license obligations. Where a venue requirement exists, it is imposed by the venue under their own regulatory framework — not by CISO.POKER.
Any information collected by a venue at entry (such as ID or rewards card enrollment) is collected solely by the venue and governed by the venue's own privacy policy. CISO.POKER does not receive, access, or retain any information collected by venues pursuant to their gaming license requirements.
By registering for a CISO.POKER event, you acknowledge that the event venue may independently require entry compliance steps as described above, and you agree to cooperate with any such venue-mandated requirements as a condition of entry. Failure to comply with a venue's legally required entry procedures may result in denial of entry by the venue — this is outside CISO.POKER's control and does not entitle you to any remedy from CISO.POKER.
All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally. CISO.POKER events are off-the-record environments. By attending, you agree to:
We reserve the right to remove any attendee from an event for conduct that violates these standards. Because no consideration is paid to attend, no remedy of any kind is owed to a removed attendee.
CISO.POKER events may be professionally filmed by our production team. By attending, you acknowledge that ambient event footage may be captured for promotional and recap purposes. No attendee will be identified by name, title, or company affiliation in any footage without their explicit written consent. Face blurring is available on request.
Final table live streaming, where applicable, is strictly opt-in. Participants who reach the final table may decline to be on stream without penalty.
Attendees may not distribute, publish, or commercially exploit footage, photographs, or recordings of other attendees taken at the event without those attendees' explicit consent.
No purchase, payment, or buy-in is required to participate in any CISO.POKER event or to be eligible for prizes. All prizes and awards at CISO.POKER events constitute sponsor-donated promotional giveaway items. They are donated by event sponsors as part of a hospitality and promotional program and do not represent gambling winnings, wagering proceeds, or prizes from a game of chance for consideration under applicable federal or state law.
CISO.POKER events are designed to be compliant with corporate attendance and gift policies. The tournament format is a structured social activity — participants do not wager money, contribute to a prize pool, or receive prizes in exchange for any form of payment or consideration. Prizes are sponsor-donated items distributed as part of the event's promotional program.
Mystery bounties are promotional items donated by event sponsors and distributed via NFC chip tap upon player elimination. Each player receives a randomized NFC bounty chip at check-in; the prize is revealed when the chip is tapped at the moment of elimination. Mystery bounty items are promotional giveaways and do not constitute gambling prizes. No substitution, cash equivalent, or alternative is guaranteed unless explicitly stated by the issuing sponsor.
Prize values listed in event materials are estimates based on sponsor-provided retail pricing. Actual value may vary. QSAI LLC is not the payor of prizes and does not issue tax documentation (including IRS Form 1099) in connection with prizes received at CISO.POKER events. Prizes are donated directly by sponsors; prize recipients who receive items that may be reportable under applicable tax law are solely responsible for determining their own tax obligations and should consult a qualified tax advisor. Sponsors who donate prizes retain responsibility for any tax reporting obligations that may arise from their own sponsorship arrangements.
We make no guarantee as to the specific prizes available at any event. Prize availability is subject to sponsor participation and may change without notice.
Sponsorship inquiries submitted through this site do not constitute a binding agreement. All sponsorship arrangements require a separate written agreement signed by authorized representatives of both parties. Submission of a sponsorship inquiry form creates no obligation on either party.
QSAI LLC maintains a coalition giving program in connection with CISO.POKER events. A portion of CyberAdX sponsor contributions for each event — typically 5% — is distributed post-event to a small coalition of audience-aligned 501(c)(3) nonprofits selected per event. QSAI LLC does not handle charitable donations on behalf of donors; direct donation links provided on this site route to each recipient organization's own donation processor. Coalition recipients, contribution amounts, and post-event receipts are published at ciso.poker/give within 30 days of each event. The coalition giving model is a QSAI LLC commitment, not a tax-deductible donation arrangement on the part of attendees, sponsors, or CISO.POKER. Donors who give directly to coalition organizations through links on this site are subject to the receiving organization's own gift acknowledgment and tax-receipt practices.
CISO.POKER events are free to attend. No consideration is paid by attendees. Accordingly, QSAI LLC has no financial obligation to attendees in the event of cancellation, postponement, relocation, or modification of any event for any reason.
Travel, accommodation, and related expenses are solely the attendee's responsibility. CISO.POKER does not book, subsidize, or guarantee hotel rooms or travel arrangements. Attendees book independently and are subject to the cancellation and refund policies of their own hotel, airline, or travel provider. QSAI LLC has no liability for any travel or accommodation costs incurred by attendees in connection with a CISO.POKER event, regardless of whether the event proceeds as planned.
QSAI LLC reserves the right to cancel, postpone, relocate, or materially modify any event at any time, including due to:
Notification. If an event is cancelled or postponed, QSAI LLC will make reasonable efforts to notify attendees who have received a confirmed seat via the email address on their confirmation. We will provide as much advance notice as circumstances allow. Applicants who have not yet received a seat confirmation have no confirmed attendance status and may not receive individual notification; event status updates will be published on this site. Notification is provided as a courtesy and does not create any liability on the part of QSAI LLC.
Prizes on cancellation. If an event is cancelled, sponsor-donated prize items will either be carried forward to a future CISO.POKER event or returned to the donating sponsor, at QSAI LLC's discretion. Attendees and applicants have no claim to prizes from a cancelled event, as prize eligibility requires participation in the live event.
CISO.POKER operates an NFC-based chip identification and redirect system ("Tap") at events and through the ciso.poker/tap platform. When an NFC chip is tapped, the system logs the chip class and redirect destination. No personal data is collected from the tapping device at the point of contact. Data collected through the Tap system is governed by our Privacy Policy. Attendees who receive NFC chips at events do so voluntarily.
All content on this site — including text, design, graphics, logos, and event branding — is the property of QSAI LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. This site and its content are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no representations that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Event details including dates, venues, and formats are subject to change without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, QSAI LLC, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site, your application to or attendance at any CISO.POKER event, or any cancellation, postponement, or modification of any event — including but not limited to travel costs, accommodation costs, loss of data, or loss of income. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed $100 USD.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QSAI LLC, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the site, your participation in an event, or your violation of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Montgomery County, Texas.
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in an updated effective date above. Continued use of the site or submission of an event application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
